St. Luke's Church

Donna first came to St. Luke’s in August of 2009 in search of a church to serve as a transitional deaconate. She was ordained to the priesthood on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at St. Luke's Church. Bishop Thomas Ely presided before an enthusiastic and faithful community. 

On Sunday, November 13^th, Donna celebrated her last Eucharist with us. You can read her last St. Luke’s sermon here. Below is her farewell email to the webmaster. 

“I have been truly blessed and graced by you, the people of St. Luke's and your ministry. Coming to you as a deacon and having the joyous blessing of being ordained there on December 18, 2010. It was a wonderful opportunity to preach my last sermon on the 13th. A time to tell you how much you have meant to me over the past two years. I leave you with a heart filled with sadness at our parting yet look forward with great joy and anticipation at being called to St. Mary's, Wilmington as their Priest in Partnership. Please keep me in your prayers, as you will continue to be in mine.
