2017 Annual Maple Fest Dinner

On Saturday,  March 11th, the annual fund raiser for PINS (Partners in Service) was held in Willard Hall. 43 people were treated to a ham dinner with side dishes, plus a choice of wine and an array of desserts - all with a hint of maple syrup. There were 2 tables for all the raffle
gifts this year, thanks to a generous donation from "a friend.” After expenses we raised $841.17

according to organizer Marcia Clinton.


PINS is a local outreach program to children and youth in crisis. PINS collaborates with the Springfield Department of Families and Children. The program allows social workers and other staff to voice the needs of the children in their caseloads, needs that would otherwise go unheard and unmet.


Every year the committee asks our liaison person, Robbie Wierzbicki from DCF, for 3 or 4 families who could benefit with an Easter dinner, boxes of food staples and Easter pails filled
with toys and some candy for the kids.  We are looking forward to that shopping expedition.


Thank you to all who had any part in making this fund raiser a success, with a special thanks to the faithful volunteers who step forward every year to make this one and only annual fund raiser a success.  Certainly could not do it without you!!
