April 1, Wednesday in Holy Week 5:30 PM Holy Eucharist (upstairs in the church)
April 2, Maundy Thursday, 5:30- 6:15 PM Holy Eucharist with optional foot washing.
This service commemorates primarily Jesus blessing bread and wine and serving them to his disciples, with the mandate to continue, such practice, as we have in Christianity ever since. The foot washing is offered for those who like to share it. We conclude the service by moving any reserved sacrament to the chapel altar, leaving the main aumbry open, empty, and bare. We darken the church except for the altar candles by the reserved sacrament in the chapel. Those wishing to keep vigil do so beginning at 6PM and continuing as signed up for until midnight.
April 3 – Good Friday 5:30 PM-6:15 PM Good Friday Liturgy.
Please note that on Good Friday the church will be open all day for quiet meditation, until the Good Friday liturgy begins at 5:30. This is a good time to pray the Stations of the Cross. The printed copy of the stations is on the table next to the entrance.
